Michael L. Penn, Jr., MD, PhD is Head of External Engagement for Genentech’s Population Health Center of Excellence, where he and his team drive strategies and cultivate partnerships that connect industry, healthcare stakeholders, lawmakers, and communities to define and advance the future of population health. A physician-scientist and nationally recognized leader in inclusive innovation, his work focuses on ensuring that breakthroughs in science and technology translate into meaningful improvements in health for all communities.
